Meet at the Overland Sheepskin parking lot (3 mi. north of Taos on Hwy 522) to
walk trails and capture sunrise landscape photos.
Following this early shoot, we will drive to Taos Pueblo, convening at the entrance about
7:45 am to purchase $6 pp photo permits & $10 pp entrance fees. Enter the pueblo at 8:00.

8:00 – 11 am Meet up with our very own Mike Torivio for special photo ops. Tour the
pueblo, visit Taos artisans’ shops & pueblo sites open to us.
Recommended lenses: wide angle, portrait, zoom and polarizers.
Observe, visit, ask questions and photograph (with their permission) native artisans.
TIPS ($5-10 per person) are recommended for compensating & photographing native artisans.

Convene early to accommodate getting to our sunset shooting site to capture surrounding
landscapes with moonrise and sunset.
A SPECIAL NOTE about GUESTS: A native Taos family of 5 will likely be joining us for
dinner as our guests; please help welcome them by contributing to purchase their meals.
SPECIAL GROUP BUFFET ($15/pp): vegetarian green chile-cheese corn enchilada OR
veggie burger OR red chile free-range chicken enchilada with side salad garnish, beans,
rice, iced tea or lemonade, melon.
Alternatively, you can order off the menu, too, but what a great deal--prearranged by the chef just for us! Organic & local—yum!

6:15-8:30 pm SUNSET SHOOT – Meet 6:15 pm at the public parking lot across from the
Plaza at Kit Carson & Paseo Pueblo del Norte. We will CARPOOL to the
Penitente Morada (La Morada de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe) if it is
accessible (or another fabulous location, if the first is unavailable), led by Victoria Saavedra
Stamm. Respectful house-of-worship etiquette is essential! Well-known Taos-based
photographers Geraint Smith and/or Steve Bundy may join us.
