8:00am [8:00am] Mid-Week Marauders Capulin Spring Birds Again
Marauders, If you missed last weeks trip to Capulin Spring shame on you. However whether you have deep remorse for the miss or not, join us again this week, as we will do it again. On Wednesday, May 17 we will meet in the parking lot of the Smith’s market at Tramway and Central at 8:00 a.m. to car pool to Capulin Spring in the Sandia Mountains. Here is link showing the meeting place. http://goo.gl/maps/o5rrA Capulin Spring is a place where the birds of the Sandia Mountains congregate and where we can get close enough to the birds to take their pictures. This shoot is best when done with 200mm plus lenses, teleconverters and tripods. Crop cameras that have crop sensors to add the 1.6 or 1.5 factor to the lenses are optimum for this outing. Here are a couple of links that you should try to read before we go, but if you can’t read them come along anyway. http://photofocus.com/2013/05/02/10-quick-bird-photography-tips/ http://www.exposureguide.com/bird-photography-tips.htm As always participation is open to all photographers and attendance is up to you. Following the shoots we encourage you to post your processed images on the Mid-Week Marauders’ Flickr Group. This site is for posting pictures taken on MWM outings and gives you a way to see what shots others have taken and a place to get comments if you want them. There are currently over 5,400 photos on our Flickr Group and we want you to post there too. Here is a link to the Group. http://www.flickr.com/groups/marauders/ We hope we will see you there and that you will participate throughout the year .
