DESCRIPTION:Marauder Outing to Tingley Beach and The Botanic Gardens – Wednesday August 12th \nFlora\, Birds\, Bugs and Beyond!  It’s a two-part outing.  You are welcome to attend both and then have lunch at Ramona’s\, or attend one of the locations  and have lunch at Ramona’s.  Folks can find outing leaders Mike McGovern and Stoy & Earl Schwers in the south-most Tingley parking lot (the unpaved one) at 7:20 -7:30 AM.  Mike S and Earl will take anyone who wants to shoot Dragonflies and Hummingbirds and Mike M will take birders.  We will also reconvene at the Botanic Garden at 9:30 AM in the area immediately behind the new ticket booth and in front of the Gift Shop. \nPart 1:  (Early Morning) Tingley Bosque Ponds (7:30 – 9:15 AM):  Meet at the southern unpaved Tingley parking lot and at 7:30 AM\, we will venture into the deepest and darkest Bosque at the two Tingley Open Space Bosque Ponds.  Shoot birds and/or insects (dragonflies\, robberflies\, wasps\, bees\, butterflies\, etc.).  If you are also going to Part 2\, at 9:15 AM\, return to the parking lot and drive to the Botanic Garden. \nPart 2:  Albuquerque BioPark – Botanic Garden (9:30 AM):  Get a ticket to enter the Bio Park (now at the main gate just west of the parking lot)\, and then meet up in front of the gift shop.  Photograph dreamy and macro flowers\, plants\, buds\, leaves.  The Orchid and Cacti Houses are also open.  Water lilies\, dragonflies and resident Wood Ducks are also at the water.  Entry is $5.50 for NM Seniors (over 65)\, free with a Bio Park Membership\, or $10 general (NM resident) admission. \nLunch at Ramona’s Mexican Cafe\,  321 Rio Grande Blvd NW at 11:30 AM:  Remember to go to lunch\, regardless if attending one or both parts of the outing. There is plenty of parking.  Ramona’s is on the west side of Rio Grande Blvd.

DESCRIPTION:Marauder Outing to the Albuquerque Museum – Wednesday September 2nd at 9:00 am \nJoin us on Wednesday\, September 2nd for a Marauder Outing at The Albuquerque Museum in Old Town\, followed by a short photo walk in old town\, and lunch at the Sawmill Market. \nLet’s meet at 9:00 a am\, at the Albuquerque Museum – Old town: 2000 Mountain Rd NW\, Albuquerque\, NM 87104.  Admission is free on this day.  Park in and around Old Town\, or in the pay parking lot just south of the museum. \nThere are several interesting Exhibitions and other photo opportunities at this time: \n–   Fred Harvey’s rt 66 \n–  The Other Route 66: 100 Years of People\, Identity\, and Place in Albuquerque\, \n–  Fun at the State Fair! \n–   High Desert Ballyhoo \nAs well as the Museum Architecture and Statues \nAt 10:45 am\, lets head out for a 30-minute photo walk in Old Town\, and then return to our cars for a 1–2-minute drive to lunch at the SawMill Market (formerly Paxton Lumber. We should arrive at Sawmill at 11:30 am.  The SawMill Market is located 2 blocks North of the ABQ Museum at 1909 Bellamah Ave NW\, Albuquerque\, NM 87104

DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, Sept. 23rd\, we will take the rail Runner Train to and from Abq to Santa Fe.  When we arrive at the  Santa Fe Train Depot\, you have a choice of walking through Old Town\, Canyon Road etc.\, or going to Museum Hill.   Two of the Museums at Museum Hill are free on Wednesdays. \nWe will then meet at Tomasitas at the Train Depot at about 1:15 pm  for lunch and then catch the train back to Abq. \nThe train is free on Wednesdays for persons 60 years and older\, \nHere are the details: \nTake the #510 train from the at 9:50am from the Los Ranchos/Journal Center Station\, and arrive at the Santa Fe Train Depot at 11:16 am. \nEither take the free shuttle\, which leaves about every 30 minutes to go  to the Historic Plaza\, Canyon Road\, and the Roundhouse. \nIf you prefer to go to Museum Hill\, it is recommended you take an Uber/Lyft\, as the wait to get a shuttle to and from Museum Hill takes too long. If you are going to Old town\, Canyon Road\, etc.\, \nIf you are walking/taking the shuttle from Old Town\, Canyon Road\, Start heading back to the Train Depot around 12:30 pm. \nIf returning from Museum Hill\, leave about 12:30 pm so as to arrive at Tomasitas (at the train depot) at 1:15 pm. Depart from the Santa fe Train Depot (adjacent to Tomasitas)  via Train #515 at 2:46 pm\, and arrive at the Los Ranchos/Journal Center Stationat 4:13 pm \n——————————- \nLet us know if you have any questions.  We hope to see you there\nHappy Marauder Trails from:\nBarry\, Earl\, Mike\, Carla\, Stephen\, Jan\, Gary\, Joanne\, Laura\, and Tom.
