This has long been my go-to wildlife lens. I originally chose it over the 600mm for its lighter weight but as I get older, I find it's just not light enough. I've dropped back to my venerable 100-400 f5.6 but I miss the f4 for early/late light as well as the longer reach of the 500. This lens is in VG-to-Excellent condition and includes the Canon hard case for shipping/transport. I've also added an Arca-Swiss foot. Price shown is for ELCC members only - $3200 on Amazon and eBay.

Always a favorite of sports, wildlife and nature shooters, the 500mm lens includes Image Stabilization for an unbeatable package of handling and sharpness. Fluorite and UD-glass provide great performance, even with the EF 1.4x II or 2x II tele extender attached. It focuses down to less than 15 feet (4.5m), and offers the same weather-resistant design and incredible AF speed as its 300mm, 400mm and 600mm siblings.
