I am a lifelong photographer starting with a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye as a boy. Seeing my first image emerge from the developer in a janitor’s closet turned into a junior high school camera club darkroom hooked me on black and white prints which I continued for years with my own well equipped wet darkroom. I now capture digitally and print with Piezography ink sets on two large format inkjet printers. My work fits squarely in the western, black and white landscape tradition. You can view my work on my website or see my prints in person at Albuquerque Photographers Gallery where I am a member.

I am an electrical/computer engineer by training with a BS from the University of Texas at Austin and an MS from the University of California at Berkeley. I recently retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 34 years. I had the great opportunity to work in many different technical areas during my career.
Photography has been my creative outlet. My interest in photography goes back to my college years. I bought by first film camera, a Pentax K1000 35mm, with money earned on a 1982 summer job. I used that camera for many years and still have it. But I used it primarily on trips and vacations.
The photography industry transition from “chemistry” to “digital” played to my technical background, and my interest in photography grew. My first digital camera was a Fujifilm FinePix S602 Zoom 3 megapixel camera which I bought in 2003. My first DSLR was a Canon EOS 50D which I bought in 2008. Since then, I have used primarily Canon DSLRs, both cropped and full sensor models.
I learned photography from University of New Mexico’s Continuing Education classes, from the great opportunities offered by the Enchanted Lens Camera Club, from classes and workshops offered by excellent local photographers, and from friends.
My primary photography interests are Travel and Nature. My wife Tere and I like to travel plus my job took me to some interesting and beautiful places. And I have enjoyed nature photography in our Southwest US region plus had the opportunity to join photo tours from Alaska to Patagonia.
In May 2019 I started the YouTube channel Pablo GE Foto on Nature and Travel Photography. I started with the idea on a channel in Spanish, but now I publish “twin” episodes in English and Spanish a couple times a month.

Just moved here from Oregon a year and half ago. Was getting ready to explore my new state when Covid hit. My husband and I are day trip travelers. Toss things in the vehicle and just drive in any directiion to see what we come across. Most times I have my head hanging out the window taking pictures but it is something we love to do. I am an instructor for a Vocational School here teaching Linux, Security and Server. Also teach at a community college in Oregon part-time. Been in the IT field for over 20 years. Am a avid reader and do some woodburning.
Photography I have dabbled in for about 15 years, not a professional but far from beginner. Still have issues trying to make my pictures match the output I see when I take them. Prefer Candids and Landscapes. Use to do weddings but after my last one of a week and 3000 photos, had to put the camera down for a year. Will still do a side wedding or such for a family member or friend but found when my favorite hobby become work, then it is no longer fun.

My name is Edmundo Gonzales. When in NM I live in Corrales, and my wife, Katherine Archuleta, also have a residence in Denver. We've had our Corrales home since 1997, when I worked in the Alb. area from 1997 - 2010 with Lockheed Martin and then the Loveless Respiratory Research Institute. I then joined my wife in Wash. DC when President Obama appointed me as a Senior Executive with the USAF and DOD. I went with the idea of staying two years, but because of my assignment for oversight responsibilities for the AF Wounded Warrior and Family Care Programs I stayed for another four. I retired in Oct. 2015 and came home.
I am a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute, Arizona State Univ. and have a Law and MBA from the Univ. of Colorado. I practiced labor and antitrust regulatory law with AT&T for 30 years prior to my governmental service. I have two daughters who are teachers and I am very proud of their commitment to public service. I have just taken up photography with the hope of sharing my pictures with my extended family to encourage them to travel the world and enjoy pretty places like New Mexico.
Several years ago I joined ELCC and tried to attend the meetings, particularly LeRoy's critique meetings. I have two homes one in Corrales and one in Denver. My wife Katherine and I travel between the two on a random basis. For some reason, things became very complicated for me and I was unable to continue with the Club. Since the Pandemic, we now live in Corrales most of the time. Our last trip was to Antartica in January of last year. During this past year I had a significant operation to my ankle so that seems to have overwhelmed me with the recovery. Now that I am back to walking I would again like to become involved with ELCC, especially when we can get back to going on the photo jaunts (the Muradors I Believe) when this pandemic resolves. I am also in need of finding someone to assist me with my Web Page and updating it. That has become a real task, and UTube is not cutting it. Thanks Edmundo - 505-228-9621.

I moved to New Mexico 4 years ago after retiring. I had a long career as a Software Engineer, and about 1-1/2 years ago I went back to work as a Software Engineer working for the State of New Mexico. Other than photography my hobbies include Woodworking and playing Bluegrass guitar. I’ve been shooting for around 15 years and consider myself to be an intermediate landscape photographer. When in Texas, I participated in our photo club's annual Portraits for the Soldiers where we would travel to Fort Hood, TX and setup 5 portrait studios for the weekend and shoot family portraits for them. We would typically shoot about 300 families in a weekend, including on-site retouching of 1-2 images, and give the images to the families on thumb drive so they could have them printed. That was a very rewarding experience.

Arlee: Retired from AFL-CIO. After 62 years in the Washington, DC area, moved to Las Cruces and then to Albuquerque last year. Worked as a weekly newspaper editor, reporter, bureau chief, assistant editor, communications director and staff writer. My bag of Nikons handled my news photos and family photos (when my daughter was growing up). Started with a Nikomat and 50mm f2. Added three more Nikons and more lens while working for newspapers. Then just photographed family stuff for years. Around 2003, started taking digital photos with Canon cameras. I enjoy landscape, event, bird and night photography.
