I consider myself to be beginner/intermediate in my skill level. I love portrait work as well as macro photography. I really have my heart set on learning more studio lighting to further my fine art portrait work. I also really enjoy photographing toys; toys are so whimsical and fun to work with. A little more about myself would be that I love learning, I read a lot of books about habit formation, self improvement, and of course photography. I love being outdoors and hiking. I am currently working on making portrait photography a part time career.

I have taken a few college Photography classes, 30+ years ago. I have been using a Canon Rebel XSI for the past 10 years and recently upgraded to a Canon EOS R6. I am just a beginner.

was employed by NMDOL state agency 27 yrs retired, USNR retired 4 yrs active 17 yrs reserve retired, like to fish and hike Albuquerque west side. current member hobbies fishing and photography, doing mostly NM landscapes and what ever catches my eye. I try to capture what other people look at but don't really see.

I’m originally from Albuquerque and I left NM after high school. I lived in DC for 12 years to pursue a collegiate soccer career while earning a technical degree. After DC, I moved to California for 5 years for my job and I’m grateful that my job brought me back home to NM. I’ve been interested in photography since I was young and I’ve taken both film and digital photography classes in college and in my current job role. I enjoy traveling and doing landscape photography and astrophotography. I enjoy mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and fly fishing. I’m looking to make a career change and pursue my passion of photography full time. I’m interested in getting members’ advice on both photography and starting a business.
