Daniele Di Stanio Bio:
Daniele Di Stanio is a professional trainer and e-learning manager based in Rome, Italy, with more than fifteen years of experience. In 2021 his practical online color correction workshop turns ten years old. Hundreds of colorists from all over used his platform to challenge each other, correct originals, and watch videos with their results compared. The goal of this e-learning experience is not just to understand all the technical details of a workflow, but especially to educate in reading, evaluating and producing a good post-production. He also served as a colorist for several high-profile photographers and founded a movie production company. Daniele spends his free time cooking, gardening and tending a fifteen year-old border collie from a shelter.

Hummingbird Capture with Keith Bauer
Join us for a fun session to learn techniques to capture great images of hummingbirds.
The presentation will cover equipment suggestions, techniques ranging from easy options to more sophisticated options including how to set up and do multi-flash hummingbird photography to capture images the human eye just can’t see. If you’re not comfortable with flash, that’s OK. We’ll talk about techniques that don’t require a flash and also show how easy it is to use today’s modern flash technology to get great images of these amazing little birds.

Mid-Week Marauders
This month (April) we are using a hybrid model, where you can attend an outing to the Glass Graveyard with the Marauders, and/or you can shoot pictures of the themes from a location, date, time of your own choice. This month's themes are Colors & Shapes, and Spring.
The glass graveyard encompasses about 20 acres of the Rio Grande Valley State Park. This was once part of the city’s Old River Landfill from 1920 until 1948. Over the years rubbish has been burned in the landfill; mixed amongst the shards are congealed and warped blobs of molten glass.
If you choose to go on the outing, the Glass Graveyard, here is the info:
Date: Wednesday April 21.
Time: 9:00 am
Location: 2345 2nd St. SW ABQ, 87102
Directions: Get to 2nd street whichever way is easiest from where you are coming from. One of us will be standing at the turn-off on 2nd street from about 8:50 - 9:05 am.
Safety Instructions: Wear good shoes or hiking boots, pants are better than shorts, especially if you kneel down to take pictures. Wear a mask and social distance. We will have a parking lot meeting and there will be no lunch or coffee after the shoot.
Hope to see you there!
Barry and Gary
Zooming with the Marauders
For the April Zooming with the Marauders, we will use a hybrid approach in that we will both (1) meet at a location and (2) retain the double theme approach where you can shoot your images at a location, date, and time of your choice.
- The two themes are “Shapes and Colors” and “Spring”.
- We will meet at the Glass Graveyard at 9:00 am on Wednesday April 21. - Please use images you have taken recently, up until the final submittal at 10:00 pm on Monday, April 26.
- The Zoom meeting will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, so mark your calendars. Details of the Zoom meeting will be provided in a later email message.
- Marauders have traditionally been open to non-ELCC members, so if you know someone who is not a member and would like to participate, please send us their name and email address.
Please email either of us (Barry or Gary) with any questions……at our new ELCC Marauders email address;
