Marauders Outings

We have an exciting Fall and Winter Marauders Schedule.  The information below is posted on the Marauders Page and on the club calendar.   Additional details will be provided a couple of weeks before each outing.

Tuesday, October 21st, (10:00 am – Noon)   The Old ​ (historic) Albuquerque Municipal Airport Building, located at 2920 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.​   This outing is by special invitation, arranged with the City of Albuquerque.  Lunch at Dions at 12:15pm on University, south of the Isotopes Stadium.

Wednesday November 12th (9:00 am – 11:00am) The Paseo del Bosque Trail: Alameda Trailhead west of Rio Grande Blvd, on Alameda –  Photograph the Bosque during the Fall colors.  Lunch at Wecks at 11:15 am at 10131 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Wednesday, Dec. 10th  (5:30 pm -7:30 pm)   Old Town Albuquerque after dark Holiday Photography.  Meet at the Gazebo in the park in old town for a night time photoshoot. NOTE:  the Christmas Tree is lit on Friday Dec. 5 and sunset is 4:55pm.  No scheduled eating out for this outing, however, if it’s cold, etc., people may want to get a coffee….

In January, Date and Time TBD,   Ladd S Gordon Waterfowl Complex.  Will be led by Mike McGovern, expected to be in the midafternoon.   As in past outings, plan on dinner on the way back to town.

The Marauders participate in one (and sometimes more) photo outings each month, mostly on Wednesday, with some weekend outings.  We choose locations within about a 1 hour drive from Albuquerque. 

Attendees are members of the Enchanted Lens Camera club, and their invited guests. Marauders outings are communicated by Club e-mail and the outing is also posted on the Club Calendar. Photographs of attendees of Marauder Outings may be posted on the ELCC Marauder Flickr Group site, as well as included in photo collages which are distributed to club members via email. 

   

Barry Schwartz and Earl Schwers, are the Marauders Co-Chairs.  Team members are: Stephen Foiles, Laura Munzlinger, Carla Chirigos, Jan Ward, Mike McGovern, Joanne Ladisa, and Tom Kilroy.  

We encourage members to post their Marauders images on Flickr, in the Marauders Group. You can join the group by following these instructions:

Once you have joined Flickr, go to your new home page.  At the top of their page there is a search box that says “Photos, people, or groups”. Enter “ELCC” and then click the “groups” drop down. You should get all of the ELCC’s Groups with those letters.  Click the join button for the “ELCC Mid-Week Marauders” and Tom Kilroy will approve your entry to the group when he gets the Flickr’s auto email.  Once you are approved as a member of the Flickr Marauders Group, when you are uploading an image, click on the “Add To Groups”  and select the Marauders Group. For images already posted in Flickr, scroll down to the “Add to Group” box, and a list of your groups will open – and select the Marauders Group and the image will be added to the Flickr Marauders Group.
