ENCHANTED LENS CAMERA CLUB (“ELCC”)

I UNDERSTAND:

1. Participating in Marauders activities may involve traveling and walking, day or night, alone, in carpools or in groups, on improved roads or unmaintained or unimproved surfaces, sidewalks, trails and locations in sometimes hazardous, local or remote, natural or manmade sites. The general risks of participation include traffic accidents, falls, environmental hazards caused by natural formations or manmade structures, weather, heat, cold, lightning, floods, altitude, my own actions and the negligent, reckless or intentional actions of others and other risks of participation. I understand that these risks of participation may result in injury to me, in damage to my property or in my death.

2. Marauders leaders may select the site, route, itinerary and activities, may arrange carpools and may select restaurants and service vendors and other details for this activity. They are not trained to lead this activity, are not trained in first aid or other medical skills and do not know my capabilities or limitations to participate in this activity. They are volunteers leading this activity for the benefit of other ELCC members and their guests.

I AGREE:

1. I WILL TAKE ALL REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE STEPS TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATION IN EACH OF THE ACTIVITIES BEFORE I PARTICIPATE IN THEM AND WILL PROMPTLY REMOVE MYSELF FROM ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES IN WHICH I PARTICIPATE IF I EITHER DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND THE RISK OF FURTHER PARTICIPATION OR BELIEVE THAT FURTHER PARTICIPATION WILL RESULT IN HARM TO ME.

2. I ASSUME ALL RISKS OF INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR DEATH FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THESE ACTIVITIES.

3. I RELEASE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE OR OTHERWISE MAKE A CLAIM AGAINST THE ELCC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND MEMBERS AND MARAUDERS LEADERS FOR ANY CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, ECONOMIC LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR FOR ANY OTHER CLAIMS ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING FOR THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE MID-WEEK MARAUDERS LEADERS, FIELD TRIP COMMITTEE CHAIR AND MEMBERS.
